in my opinion, to lie to a person or not does not depends on right or wrong but depends of how much the target can handle.

- say: "i love your new dog" vs "your dog is butt ugly"

a doctor tells his patient

- "you're doing great, you'll get better soon"
vs
- "you'll be dead in a month"

if it's harmless and it makes people feel better then it's not a lie.

There's no point of me lying. I was be straight forward. If you ask me if you look fat, I would say yes. I'm sorry but I'm a natural A-HOLE by the Army lifestyle. LOL!

Not that I can remember, Im of the belief that if I dont wish to say something, I just remain silent, instead of lying about it. Plenty have gotten upset about me not answering, but none can say I lied.

YESSSS of course. Lots of times. Its only bad when do do it in a bad way. If you lie not to hurt someones feelings its ok with me. You can all lie a little to me! Yeah yeah...tell me my hair is pretty!

I know a lot of people think it is okay. I also will admit I might be a bit odd on this, since I take Lying so seriously, when a person lies to me over something so small that it doesn't really matter it erodes the whole foundation of the relationship. I can't deal with it, after a few of these I walk away.

I would rather hear, no I really don't like your dog than have someone act like they do since I can tell if a person is genuine or not.

No, and that's actually surprising to some. The truth is more intruiging then the lies to a point, that they start to question if I'm doing nothing but lying. It's really sad though..we got to this point.
