Topic: Where does a relationship fit in? | |
---|---|
So I met a women about 6 months ago. When we met she knew (because I told her on several occassions) that between my job, my daughter, and buying a house my time is quite consumed. With several new projects at work, a limited schedule to my daughter, and going to settle on my house in 3 weeks now I am getting..."Where do I fit in?" "Where is the future for us?"
I am going to blow!!!!!!!!!!! |

Phone calls, emails, txts, coffee dates. If she doesn't understand or respect where your priorities are at this moment, it might not be the best for either of ya'll right now. Now if you're ignoring her and calling out of the blue for some action, that's a different story

maybe she's feels like she's low on your priorities and would like more attention
|

sounds like you were honest with her in the beginning and she wants more than you can give right now.
It's just 2 different lives and schedules not merging right now |

maybe she's feels like she's low on your priorities and would like more attention Well, I listed the prioritys and unfortunatley she is at the bottom of those. Job and Daughter and top priority and getting back into a house is the next. |

It seems you don't have time to date ONE person seriously, Jim. Keep things casual and date a few girls once in a while. Until you are more settled in your goals, it's not cool to lead a person on or cause yourself more craziness. |

Well, she is low on your priorities list, and she feels that dude. And, being honest, if you can't give her some more time, then break it off.
It is good that you know what you want to do, and how your priorities are. And you told her this, so she knew it, and it sounds like she wants to change it. You can say she is trying to control you. You can say that she just likes you alot and wants more time. Being that this is six months in, I would go with the latter. Good luck with this man. |

She knew from the gitgo my plans and I didnt want anything serious for a long long time. Now I am getting..."When can I move in your house?" She says its a joke, but I dont repeat jokes 6-7 times. Eventually the humor goes away |

You're treating her like a booty call and she knows it.
She wants to be bumped up on the list. You don't want to do that. Time to call it quits before somebody gets hurt. |

Yeah, if you were straight up with her from day one then she's being unreasonable in my opinion. It's ok to want the things she wants but you were clear that you couldn't give her all that right now. I hope you find a time to have a good solid conversation with her and let her know that in fairness to her it'd be better if you kept it casual right now. Best of luck sir!

Its not fair to her nor me. |

I would, also, say to let her go before she gets to far into it (more than she has already) You were honest from the beginning as far as I can see |

Eventually the humor goes away I've got to say, I wouldn't ask to move in. I'd wait to BE asked. But, maybe she's more forward than I. If you don't want her living with you, tell her in no uncertain term's. If she doesn't respect you enough to heed what you tell her, break it off. |

No, never have treated her like a booty call. I have shown nothing but respect to the time her and I have had. I just cant deliver what she wants.... It doesnt help that she stalkes me on Facebook and myspace. THank god she knows nothing of this site. Better yet, she even had the nerve to say to me yesterday that I talk to my daughter more than her! Just because I was on the phone with my daughter for about a half hour yesterday. That really pushed me over the edge |
