We really need to get back to thinking about the future and our kids. America has never been perfect but it feels as if the children are suffering an unnecessary setback by a society teaching them to worship the materials and not the work and the lessons involved in earning them. Our kids need more community involvement and programs to keep them busy and our media needs to be more conscious of the messages it sends them.

flowerforyou I agree, but whenever we try to teach the kids something positive a group of people come along and call it indoctrination:smile:

People need to stop blaming the media and focus moreso on themselves, rarely do people just do something because they saw it on TV or played it out in a video game...but whenever the rare occurence happens, it becomes a mainstay of every other criminal act. Columbine was a more notable piece of **** parenting, they made pipe bombs in the garage, created propane bombs there too...stored guns in their room and other people's houses. What did we jump on? Music, video games, violent movies, and of course...medication.

Kids can't be taught anything if they have a constant source to blame their poor decisions on, further we can't teach them anything when we give them endless sources of blame. Society killed society, now we just sit idly by and watch the aftermath of what we created, and now we want to fix it...

QUALITY TIME, PARENTAL POSITIVE INTERACTION

QUALITY TIME, PARENTAL POSITIVE INTERACTION

QUALITY TIME, PARENTAL POSITIVE INTERACTION

Need I say it again, parents aren't held accountable anymore, kids aren't held accountable anymore....Instead of giving you kid money and everything they need for a distraction, try spending time with them or at the very least showing them how to accept responsibility and earn money. Everyone esle but the parent is raising the children these days. Day cares, school Grand parents, siblings, how the hell do you expect them to respect you when they don't even know who you are, and vice versa....it's time to get back to the basics and instead of having a referendum about gay marriages, maybe they should have one about holding parents and society responsible for the children, instead of universal healthcare, how about insuring a stable mental environment for the children who have all been but abandoned in this me me me world.
