Nxt Thyme.....
The guy sounds like he has a slight trust issue. He might be starting a cult and wants you to be his #2 person. Get the hell out and buy a big gun. |
|
|
|
IMHO this sounds more like an unhealthy obsession, perhaps deriving from
low self esteem or possibly from an overly possessive demanding personality. This guy needs help before he does something that is potentially dangerous, especially if he's got issues with anger management. |

Just becareful. Sounds like he is insecure and a bit weird. He won't even let you talk to your friends??? That is BAD.. |
|

SheNerd,
I agree, and think that she needs to distance herself from the situation, so she doesn't get more pulled in. michael |

Michael, you are right. Some people like this guy are just plain toxic.

I had a boyfriend like that once,if I was a couple minutes late from
work. he wondered where I was for those 2 minutes. all the time he was cheating with everyone he met. I guess he thought I was doing all the things he was doing behind my back. I think I was lucky to have cut it off when I did. I wish you the best of luck with this. |

Sounds like he's possessive and control freak!
Run like hell! |

A man lost his partner to a debilitating illness. He has witnessed the
fragility of life. Nothing he could do could keep her with him. Insecure? Yes....and I don't blame him for that. A little emotionally unstable, and irrational? Yes. I don't blame him for that either. A massive, and all consuming need to have you with him, present and available, is not rational, and shows where he is at. You are uncomfortable with his behaviours, then show him, where his behaviours make him uncomfortable, and ask him, if they are motivated by his wife's death. If he is an important friend to you, aside from this young relationship, then perhaps encourage him, to counselling, grief counselling. A whole and healed man is a valuable asset to society, as is a whole and healed womean. It really depends on how you view the investment of the 10 year friendship, versus the six week, relationship as romantic partners.. |

*You are uncomfortable with his behaviours, then show him, where his

Nxt...
He sounds very insecure in your relationship if you ask me. I'm not sure that I would label it a "control freak", but probably something close to that. I agree with Michael, losing a wife once already...if he has strong feelings for you, he might be afraid that he will loose you too. I think he has to work out somethings and giving you BREATHING ROOM...would definately a good start...otherwise he just might loose you as well. Just my opinion here. |

|
|
yes thats stupid.. I never get jealous, I just get rid of the woman if
theres an actual reason to.. I never let women intimate me, as I blow it by... sort of funny to me... But a lot of guys dont and they are so jealous, it starts to drive them nuts..I try to inform men how to work around all the BS...most dont listen... and they never get better. |

NxtThyme , my advice to you is end it get out while you can that kind of
relationship is not healty. Sad thing about it I have seen otheres that are the same way if not worse but will never admit to it at all. For they don't see themselves that way. Any one that is that way don't want you talking to friends wants to move you away from your family to have you int there little neck of the woods away from everyone you know, onl wants you talking to them and no one else, not allowed to have male friends or any of these things you need to get out quick and maybe some day the person like that will see how they are but I doubt it for I lknow some the same way and they can't see it but everyone that gets involved with them can. Good luck with what ever you decide. |

Obsessive, YES!
Controlling, YES! sad and afraid, the proof is in the pudding. |
|
|

Definately a person to stay away from. Reminded me of my ex wife. Even
got mad when I didn't get jealous of her. Like if I loved her then I would be jealous of her. Always wanted to know when I was coming home; Who I was with; Call me if you are late; Wanted to take me when she went to see her mom and I always wondered why. Jealous and clingy people. Its is better to stay away from them. |

Does......FREAK.....ring a bell!

you may need to walk away from this one...
sounds like a control freak to me... that can lead to more seriouse problems down the line... good luck dear! |
|

I agree, get out while u can he sounds way to controlling!!

I tend to agree with Jess642's post. He is a good man that I've let my
heart get intangled with! I do believe that he has a few issues regarding his late wife's death but nothing that a little help and understanding won't cure. After reading all of the post...I do not believe that he is a stalker just insecure and I am going to continue to take a chance on. I'll keep ya'll updated if things go south. Thanks for the advice. |
