Sure. ITs possible. Forgiveness is wonderful IF remorse is sincere. If my SO thought that the words were enough to express his remorse though,,that would be our end. Actions have to back up the apology with a real attempt to change. One of the more mature responses... I'm skeptical of anyone who cannot forgive... |

To forgive is one thing to forget is totally another....
I will and have forgiven in the past for this same thing, but does not mean I let them rub my nose in it again the second time..........therefore I forgave them just did not forget what they did... |

Forgiveness is not the issue, that comes in time and allows you to move on. Being able to have trust and faith in the person again is the real deal. |

I would stab him to death with a large knife, roll his body up in my oriental rug (would be a shame to ruin that rug) put his body and my rug in the trunk of my car, drive up the canyon and roll my rug, body included down a big mountainside...the animals would eat him..maybe the rug if there was enough blood on it. I would come home and play "our" song! okay your supposed to be a pacifist! |

Cheating is an inborn character, and once you decide to FORGIVE and ACCEPT him/her back;you have decided to be "Jesus"that will always forgive all your life. Life is more better than living with a cheat that will SURELY repeat his escapade.

Whehter or not I would forgive my S/O if she cheated would depend on a few things. First, has she become a promiscuous trolip? If so, she's out the door.
However, if we've had a long and endearing relationship I can understand if she has a need to feel that fire and passion. But, she needs to understand that the passion will fade with her new lover as well. She must remember where home is and what her commits are. I do not want a woman with me that is longing to be with someone else. I want her heart, soul, mind and body. But, if she needs to sow a few wild oats I can forgive her. There's an old Cary Grant movie about this called "The Grass is Greener" that give the best option in my opinion. |
