I wonder if the inventor of the helicopter looked at a lot of hummingbirds in his life?
Hummingbirds are the only animals able to fly backwards.

Correction. It was suppose to say - Hummingbirds are the only (birds) to fly backwards.

Now I am going to double check to make sure though!

A hummingbird can rotate each of its wings in a circle, allowing them to be the only bird which can fly forwards, backwards, up, down, sideways or sit in sheer space. To hover, hummingbirds move their wings forward and backward in a repeated figure eight, much like the arms of a swimmer treading water. Hummingbirds can move instantaneously in any direction, start from its perch at full speed, and doesn't necessarily slow up to land. Hummingbirds can even fly short distances upside down, a trick rollover they employ when being attacked by another bird.

unlike hummingbirds, helicopters don't actually fly as all of us rotorheads know. they beat the air into submission.

Many physicists believe wormholes (a "shortcut" through space and time) exist all around us but they are smaller than atoms. Anyone care to explain this to me?

Love that picture. Worm holes are fascinating. Are they the same thing as black holes?

I think they might be doors through space-time or 'paths' of time and a natural part of our space-time matrix.

If you will notice, this picture is similar to a galaxy. A galaxy is also a 'worm hole' or a 'black hole' and it also has that beam of energy bursting out from its center.

You sarcasm is unwarranted and rude. indifferent

Sorry. I apologize. I meant it to be funny.

Funny, light. I did not meant to be sarcastic or rude.

Little wonder the whole world hates me. If I make a joke, people think I'm stabbing them.

So much for what I call "humour".

Sorry.

I recognized your humor right away. You are quite the kidder. laugh laugh  drinker

Thanks, Jenny, and no hard feelings here, Smiless. I'll put a smile on your face one day yet, Smiless.

Jenny, to answer your question: A wormhole and a black hole are the same if the worm is black, not puce or orange.

I have no clue what's the difference, but putting A and B together from what I hear, a wormhole may be a part of quantum theory, inasmuch as I've heard that according to TRUE QT the smaller one gets, the more powerful it / she / he gets.

I'm 5'4".

Worship me ye all, or I'll smite you with my 5-volt lightning rod generator!!
