Topic: Could Someone Please Remind Me Why I am Here??

I have been here for a couple of years now. During that time, I have seen somewhere in the neighborhood of 463,000 threads asking " Why do men...." or " Why do women...." The basic vein in almost every one of those threads is that guys/girls are just pieces of crap that don't do anything to deserve the attention of the opposite sex. Some people call it " ranting " and some call it " venting ". Whatever you want to call it, it makes me wonder, if the opposite sex is SO bad, why are any of us even bothering with a dating site. I am beginning to think that I am just a glutton for punishment. After all...thousands upon thousands of threads tell me what a PoS I am ( I'm a GUY and all guys are PoS after all ), and no matter how unlike those guys a fella may be, he gets lumped into the bunch anyway. So why bother??

I dunno. It just seems that there is such a bad view on the opposite sex ( from either side ) that it just seems rather pointless for anyone to actually be on a dating site. If you hate men/women THAT much ( and yes, it IS hatred, no matter what the claims may to the contrary may be ), why on Earth would anyone be trying to find ANOTHER one??

Because they're still hoping they can find "the one" who will be "their everything" and "love them forever" and be "their world" no matter what a bitter, cynical, biased jerk/b!tch they've become over the years. "If you love me, you'll accept me as I am!!!!!" is their battle cry.
