Why people would try to brag about being from a ghetto I mean I know people sometimes try to be things they really aren't... but isn't it usually something better at least? If I was gonna lie and brag about where I'm from, I sure wouldn't be picking a hood maybe it's just me Is that were they wear slippers in public -- like to the store? I saw someone wearing "house shoes" in public! Slippers! WTF is up with that? |

I don't think a lot of people really know what growing up in the "ghetto" really is....
I think most see crap in the movies and television Where I was born and raised was considered a "ghetto" to us it was our neighborhood White and black folks All sharing the same thing Being poor Sure their were drugs and crime It was a heavily populated area Most were hard working people trying to put food on the table We were black We were white But we didn't look at color We were all in the same boat Trying to survive The middle class are all in the same boat Some money Trying to make it work The rich are all in the same boat Trying to keep what they have And stay high in status So don't think of the ghetto as combs in hair. Baggy pants. All drugs. Dirty It's really not all like that |
