It is served on men for those that request it. But what you have to realize, is that this is art, a display, and while the shock factor is that it is sexual, it actually is not. This is a part of Japanese culture that not all Americans understand. That's okay, it's a different culture, but you either accept it or you don't.

oh for gawdsakes dude ... I am an artist ... do you really think I get riled up looking at a naked body? I would be the first to demand that there be a level of maturity and decorum... however, the men that frequent such establishments are not thinking anything inappropriate ... ever...? Give me a break!

Well i am all for culture and if your thing is to cover a beautiful girl in chocolate and admire the beauty of it then fine with me on the other hand i would want a taste and ask the question could you also do her in white chocolate too? Anna x Ohh and add some choc chips and sprinckles and chocolate flakes and chocolate fudge sauce and Anna has overdosed but WOW what a rush! Anna x |

I would be the first to demand that there be a level of maturity and decorum... however, the men that frequent such establishments are not thinking anything inappropriate ... ever...? Give me a break! Okay, I will, I have plenty of Japanese friends, and they think the model is sexy, but they would never act on it. This is the equivalent to erotic art, striptease, or porn. This is not degrading to women, but a celebration of the female body, the female body as art, and not as an object. And this is where Eastern and Western Culture merges. Some will object, but we really should be in touch with our sexuality before we can cast judgement. And then after being objective, you are justified in your opinion. |

The act of making art or declaring something as 'art' IS to objectify it. Women are most definitely objectified. |

On reflection the covered female chocolate form was not only wonderful to behold but together with her natural curves and beauty combined with dark milk and white chocolate was a sight to behold sadly the art work is no longer available for viewing due to one over excited girl who was unable to appreciate this new form of art work and instead choose to eat as much as she could.
The moral of the story is dont put what you like on display as sexual chocolate enhanced over indulgance will quickly follow!! Anna x |

Cats are you seriously comparing those pictures 'objectifying' men as a comparison to women being objectified as nude sushi models, porn or gentlemen's clubs?
Yes, men are objectified every day in advertising ... it is a much newer phenomenon, however, that it is being done in a sexually exploitive way. It has been happening to women since ... oh ... forever ... Have you ever talked to a nude sushi model? If you have, you will know that the practice is considered a 'sexual fetish' in Japan. You will also know that the more saki the men drink, the less respectful they become. |
