hows the new job going Jan? After three 12 hour shifts I was a zombie last nite, which is why I didn't get on here. I was asleep before 9pm. and had to nap again this pm.... but I see hope in my future....I think I will weather the transition OK. Thanks for asking, Tim How is your dad? I hope it goes well for him. The plan is rehab, then home, right? My father had surgery this morning. I saw him before he went in. Today he was lucid, which doesn't happen every day... but he insists that he can't walk without 2 people helping him get up.... My mission (should I choose to accept it) is to convince him that he can do it with one person helping him. He just doesn't realize that it is the difference between going home to assisted living...where his friends are...and going ELSEWHERE ! 
That is why my father wants 2 people to help him. He has fallen ~16 times...umpteen anyway...and is afraid of falling again. He has chronic pain now from recent and past injuries. And the reason I advised you earlier to have someone check on your father is that he needs to be protected from falling, and encouraged to work at his rehab. My father has a sitter at night, as he sometimes forgets where he is, and they don't want him attempting to get up and end up falling. And rehab just requires a very specialized athletic trainer..understanding, compassionate, yet firm and effective... Such therapists are a rare breed. |

Hi Everyone. Hope you all had a good day! I had a food show the last 2 days. They're alot of work but alot of fun too. I see people I haven't gotten to see in while. Also get alot of freebies.
So dinner is on me tonight Hummus and Crackers-watch out for the pizza hummus-its been known to attack
