Yup, and when I feel that way, it's usually because I did and just ignored all the signs that it wasn't right for me. The good thing is, while it may take some work, you can always get back to where you belong.

If I could do my life over I would do a lot differently. Might be in a better spot then I am now.

I would definitely like to go back to 1998... yeah
Although... I am pretty content with where I am in my life... Just wish I had a higher paying job that's all. |

If I could do my life over I would do a lot differently. Might be in a better spot then I am now. Would you really? Just think, if you did things over and differently, you wouldn't be you. Just one small do-over can/would change the entire course of your life. Maybe you wouldn't meet your best friend, boyfriend? Or have the courage to do something you wanted to do? Everything that's happened has made you who you are. You can't change it so no point in regrets. The only thing you can do is look at where you are NOW and look to where you want to go and make whatever changes you think are necessary to be where you want to be. Change is NOT a bad thing. Scary sometimes, yes, but not bad. |

There are two things I really wish I didn't have to go through. I don't see how it has helped me out at all.

There are two things I really wish I didn't have to go through. I don't see how it has helped me out at all. Nope you don't always see it. If anything, they probably made you stronger, or wiser or both. But, sometimes things just are. You can't control it and you can't change it. So regretting is a waste of time and emotion. |

No, they didn't make you bitter, you made yourself bitter. There's a distinction. If you allow yourself to become bitter (which is a result of unresolved regret, anger and fear), then it's really your responsibility to find a way to change that. The incidents, whatever they were, are simply incidents. It's how you react to them that makes you bitter. You can choose to wallow in the bitterness, or you can choose to let it go. It's not easy, it might take a lot of work and more pain before you can do that, but it IS possible. And you won't ever regret it. |

I married a threatening, violent, selfish, angry misogynistic sociopath. Huge mistake there. I was warned and did not heed those warnings.
