Ok so I have never done this before but I am interested in other people's opinion. I am biracial Black/White/Colombian and I am interested in all races, just wondering how willing people are to date outside their own race? And are you worried what others think when and if you do? NOTE: Who ever I date I'm always dataing outside my race unless someone is mixed like me! :) I don't care, if I can make enemies at it I will look at it as a plus. |

Calleigh, just an innocent fair question for you. Regarding a white man with a black woman, what do you do if one or both sets of parents have a racial bias? And the couple is very much in love and comfortable with each other. I had a relationship with a black woman several years ago, but it only lasted 3 months because her father didn't approve of my skin pigment deficiency. Tried to tell him it was vitiligo, but he wasn't buyin' it. Oh well. Didn't really have vitiligo that was a joke. Also, I'm not sure why you singled me out to ask this question, but I guess it's irrelevant. Here is my opinion, all relationships have a tendency to really suck, it's the nature of the beast, people are selfish, everyone wants their own way, very few people are willing to compromise. When you add other factors like large gaps in age, difference in race and gender, economic status, anything like that, you are adding to the complications. Hopefully you read my other posts where I state that I don't care about who other people date as long as they're not trying to date me, and how it takes a very dedicated person to have a successful interracial relationship (or any other relationship for that matter) especially depending on where you live. I hope this helps answer your question, and I hope you find someone one day that will make you happy, no matter what race (skin color) she happens to be. Good luck to you in your search. |

I think what you're getting at is that you go against all odds, if you're happy with the one you're with, accept no outside influence, and be strong in who you are as a couple, no matter what"they" think. I always knew this, but I just wish people would get over it and hate a little less. Happiness comes first.

Eh, money comes first, I'd rather have money than a man, I don't care if he's black as midnight.
