I was buying a six pack & got carded. Not a big deal except after looking at my id, the cashier lady said "Wow, you look so young"! I replied "Yea, it's a curse & a blessing". I'm twenty seven & I guess this lady didn't think I looked even twenty one. If you were in my shoes, would you see it as a blessing or curse? Have you ever been mistaken for being much younger or older than you actually are?

Im 33 and every time I go to buy cigerettes I get carded.. I get carded for everything. My 11 year old son thinks is hilariously retarded.

I still get carded occasionally...but I think it's just a jerk on a power trip, making me dig for my ID, blah, blah, blah...but I still say VERY loudly "Oh THANK YOU young man! You've made my day!"

Here in Hawaii, they're supposed to card you if they think you look under forty. It's more the look of disbelief I get when they look at my id & see I'm twenty seven. They seem to look it over real well a few times like it's a fake id or something.

I thought most people got carded over in the states when buying booze. I was getting carded most places when i was over there and i was over 30.

Yeah, when I was behind the bar always carded anyone who was still picking their nose...

My point in bringing this up though wasn't the fact I was carded (I would card myself), it was more that the lady looked at my id & couldn't believe it.

I was carded until I was 40.....for cigarettes. Ive been carded in bars all my life. When I was younger.....I found it embarrassing and a curse. I hated looking young. Now....its a blessing.
