I'm 164 and 5"4. Chubby for my height but Ive got huge kahunas to distract people from my pudge. Ok thats funny right there , thx for the giggle ... BUT honestly you are almost exactly like my ex when we first met and married, proportionally ,( and no thats NOT why we married) AND I am sure you will consider yourself healthy as well, so what does it matter, right ?? ... |

I don't think you can put a size label on it. I new a very large short gal who wore a size 10 in clothes. And I was more slender than her wearing a 16 at the time. I thought she was lying, but her clothes said size 10.
But, I saw a few months ago that the AVERAGE AMERICAN WOMAN is a size 12-14. So I AM an AVERAGE AMERICAN WOMAN in size. I could stand to lose some, but I'm far from obese. As for people having issues with fat......... tough noogies. Soak your heads. Ignore those YOU think are fat, be polite, shut your mouth, nobody cares for your opinion. Don't assume you are Kanye West and that your opinion and words matter. |

You look great in your pic Jusy...
I am 5'7" and 183. I wear a size 12-14. Sometimes I worry what guys will think and some days I don't care. Years ago that was all I worried about. I was 157, healthy and my grandmother told me no one would want me. So I went on a very strict diet. People told me to stop, but I couldn't, I wouldn't....I got down to 92 pounds because I listened and worried about what other people thought. Of course I gained the weight back, was 220 and dropped down to a 170. My weight varies now, but I don't care what people think...It hurts when they say I could stand to lose a few pounds, but I am happy with my body, even if I am not small |

We let people abuse us emotionally when we don't have to. If you don't like what your lookin at, look away because you don't have any control over me. Besides that there are men out there who love I mean love bigger women. I dated a guy who told me I was not his type because I was too skinny for him and I am not a little girl by any means. It was actually kind of difficult to comprehend it but hey he has his thing and everyone does. I want a man who is going to find me beautiful because I am who I am, not judge me by societies standards or try to belittle me for my imperfections as if he is better than me at some level. |

I believe society's pre-occupation with weight or, appearances in general is extremely unhealthy, if not superficial.....

I think fat is a description of body distribution more so than about weight. Id say for a female , it is ideal to have hips and busts that are roughly the same size and a waist that is 10-12 inches smaller than hips and bust (for that hourglass figure). The more OFF that 10-12 inch curve is, the fatter one appears. Of course, thats taking into consideration the obvious appearance of ROLLS of skin that also would be defined as fat. Of course, the flatter the tummy, the more shapely and less FAT we appear as well.

Fat is so much a state of mind. If you are comfortable in your own body then you are fine. If you are not, then try to change it. The real goal should be health, not a number on a scale! I used to be a large women and now I am a small one, heard complaints about both!
I really want to say that there is such a thing as to thin! Growing up with tv, magazines ect as (supposed) role models I was sort of shocked to hear from men that I am to thin. After hearing this many times from many men I had to believe that it is true. Men seem to prefer a female with some curves and soft places. While caring for my dying husband I went from 179 to 113, the day I hit 113 I stood on the scale and cried, I was 3 pounds away from being hospitalized. I have managed to get up to 122 but that is still pretty bony on me. Fat is unhealthy, bones sticking out is unhealthy. Be happy in your body and let others keep their negative words to themselves! |
