Thanks to all the people who replied to this thread,sure,there is
freedom of speece and we are all entitled to it, including this guy.I am
delighted to be a part of this family and feel truly humble to be
accepted by so many wonderful people. This place is a happy place, I

I really don,t see the racism here, not everyone is comfortable
with interacial dating. It does,nt seem as though he was rude
with name calling or something like that, otherwise people can chose
dating preferences, race being one of them.

i think the lesson learned here is that not everyone is politically
correct.Some people think when you say hi you are showing interest.i
thought it might have some racist overtones due to maybe rudeness in
stating his preference but at least he was honest.

So sorry that this happened, Bonny. That this fool is an exception
doesn't make it any more palatable, I know. Please do know that you, as
everyone else, are fully welcome here. Heck, I am probably more
different from most here than you are, and even I feel welcome!

(((Manwich))) I think you missed my point, I stated that I said "HI" to
someone and was rebuked.It was my understanding that people are here to
make friends. I did not ask for a date,I felt he was rude by pointing
out the colour of my skin as a reminder that as a black person I had not
the right to say hello to a white person. I haven't heard or seen
anyone else on this site saying they cannot greet another human being
whatever their race colour or creed.It is nice however to have a
greeting Reciprocated despite the colour of one's skin. And no, I am not
singling you out for an altercation, I just wanted you to hear the
episode from my perspective. I have nothing but praise for the members
of this site who have made me feel so very welcome and I have had the
time of my life by being here.
