Now this is what I am talking about. If only I could be a judge at one of these! For sure I will try out the above recipe, I need a blender or one of those other thingies. Anyone else got a good recipe? How about sharing some of those BBQ ones? I'd share my bbq, but then I'd have to kill you It's long but I'll try to remember to post it this weekend |

Now this is what I am talking about. If only I could be a judge at one of these! For sure I will try out the above recipe, I need a blender or one of those other thingies. Anyone else got a good recipe? How about sharing some of those BBQ ones? We share recipes all the time. There is a long list of recipes on this topic including hot sauce and BBQ. Just go to the page notation at the bottom of the page after clicking on the recipe topic and start going back in time. We have posted several this summer. Personally, I think of hot sauce, picante, and salsa as all being completely different food groups, yet I see the use of "hot sauce" for all three. To me, hot sauce is the stuff that comes in the little bottle like Tabasco. It usually consists of some combination of peppers and vinegar. The vinegar allows it to sit out without refrigeration. Picante is the mix of hot peppers and other ingredients such as tomatoes and cilantro that is great home made and is used in much of Texas cooking. There are some pretty good jar varieties. It will spoil. Salsa is the lame stuff served in restaurants with chips and sold in jars that is too tame to be of interest. And, just to echo the truth, "it's all about the flavor". |

I could eat this stuff on EVERYTHING. Wow!! Tried that. To much for me!! Gave it to a friend!! God bless your taste buds!!! Try mixing a little into your favorite marinade (use like you would tabasco or something). It gives a kick but tones down the heat a lot. |

I just make my own most commercial hot sauces use more cumin than I like and I like more cilantro in mine I have to agree on this one, cilantro makes miracles of any sauce, rich aroma, spikes up the taste. Yes I too make my own sauces for any occasion, especially spicy, extra kick in the gutt or butt.. whatever the case maybe |

I could eat this stuff on EVERYTHING. Wow!! Tried that. To much for me!! Gave it to a friend!! God bless your taste buds!!! This isn't so hot really, its like ketchup for my sibblings and for me, for commercial use only.. we grow our own chili peppers (various countries). I guess to some this be good enough. |

I make my own.Depends on what the meat is and other dishes in the meal. The simple green sauce (jalapenos, cilantro, garlic, tomatillos, salt)is one of my faves though. You can kick in more heat or tone it down by the amount of jalapenos you put in,or you can use seranos or habaneros instead.

There is a Vietnamese version of the above mentioned product. Tuong ot Toi. But when all is said and done it is nothing more than a chili garlic paste. Now, when I went to Big City Burrito here in Denver, they had a hot sauce called "Amazon," I was quite pleased with the flavor and the hotness. Now, if you want to go overboard, and go for maximum hotness, try something called "Afterdeath," this stuff should be illegal. |

you haven't had the burn until you've tried "Endorphin Rush"
http://www.hotsauceworld.com/enrushotsauc.html It's like BBQ sauce for the first 8 seconds and then it's all heat. |
