An Open Letter to the
US House of Representatives
Whereas: Congress, the Federal Reserve, and the U.S. Treasury have put the American taxpayer on the hook for over $12 trillion in bailouts and loans; and

Whereas: Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke recently refused to tell Congress who has received trillions in these funds from the Federal Reserve; and

Whereas: Allowing the Fed to operate our nation's monetary system in almost complete secrecy leads to abuse, inflation, and a lower quality of life for every American; and

Whereas: HR 1207, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, and S 604, the Federal Reserve Sunshine Act, would require a full audit of the Fed for the first time in its history and would provide answers to the American people about how our money is being spent;

Therefore: It's time to hold the Federal Reserve accountable to Congress and the American People. I urge you to do everything in your power to pass the Audit the Fed bill!

Although this is not likely going to work, knowing the power the Fed has, it's an amusing passtime.

I am not certain "we the people" can handle transparency.......

We like catching terrorists....we don't like torture

We like a thriving economy...We don't like derivatives

We like unlimited choice of our fruits in the middle of winter...we don't like the farm practices in Chile...

The only way to know is to get some, I assure you, once the American people get transparency, real transparency, they will be so freaked out by what has been going on behind closed doors that, regardless of whether or not they like some things, they'll never want anything else.

That would be nice...but to listen to people on these boards and in real life, I often have my doubts.

The federal reserve isnt part of our government.....

hmmm... I would agree, except the Fed owns this government, right down to it's balls.

Already signed it and added a note that it should be audited by someone outside their system.

I gave a few names, such as Peter Schiff, but I'm glad to know that my posting this added even 1 more supporter of auditing the criminal cartel known as the Federal Reserve.
