I wouldnt call it giving up. I still keep hope that someoen somewhere is right for me but I dont really look for it. I am comfortable with and have made peace with the real possibility that I will remain alone(romantically speaking) for the rest of my life because I know I am at a point now where my expectations are higher and others are expecting them to be lower ( I am forty years old, after all).
Having lived forty years and realized how perfectly happy I am with my own company and how much less work it is to make myself happy than it is to keep someone else happy,,,I just cant settle. If Im gonna invest the effort and time, I want what I want. I am comfortable if it never happens, I will be elated if it does. |

I am pessemistic when it comes to finding love or at least a meaningful relationship. Everybody wants these instant Banquet micowavable relationships, where it starts out frozen, and then it either gradually unthaws or its popped straight into the microwave on "HI" and its good..especially the ones with the brownie..but its not something you want everyday. I mean, who wants to live off Banquet meals foever? I honestly want a home cooked relationship. Its got different spices, its good, and it can be frozen and preserved for later.

 Yes I have given up right now.I feel there isn't anyone who wants to date a woman with kids.They think it's to much drama and stress for them.I'm not here for my kids I'm here for me.So I'm single and not looking anymore.Just here for friends right now.
