I think one of the funniest Lions jokes I have ever seen was on a t shirt a guy was wearing at The Silverdome a few years ago. it said... " Would the woman who left her 11 kids at The Silverdome please come pick them up? They are beating the Lions 27-0 " |

They are beating the Lions 27-0 " hahahaha that was an old Cowboys joke in the 80's there was one that said Danny White went home and couldn't get in his house cause someone had painted a goal line on the front door |

The Detroit Paper was worth reading. Mitch Albom had a couple funny lines. He compared the Lions winning and the ensuing celebration by fans and players, to a prison releasing its inmates after years of unjustified captivity.

I listened to it on the internet. Lots of people drove a ways to get out of ' local ' tv range and watched it at sports bars. Still doesn't take away from the fact that they won. |

Well yea as long as you get to see it. Imagine your team going 19 games without a win, and when they finally do win, you can't watch it. I wouldn't even wish that on Dolphins fan. The blackout is not even a good idea by any means, which would make it even more irritating. It's like bad gas that everyone is hoping they can sleep off. People drive somewhere else to watch the game? Doesn't sound like the blackout is encouraging them to buy tickets; especially if you don't have the money.

Meh. 10 bucks worth of gas to get out of ' local ' tv range, beer and food at a sports bar.
Or pay a whole lot more than that for a ticket, gas to get to the stadium, parking, unreasonable prices for food at the game... Seems like a pretty good trade when the game is blacked out. |

I'm kinda thinking of taking my son and buying a couple of those "all you can eat" seats, for $57.
