B, I have one tattoo on my hip. I got it just for ME. I can show it or not and have never regretted it. It is very meaningful to me, not only the tat but my choice to get it.

Buttah, just remember one thing if u get a tatt make sure it's something u wanna be stuck with, something that means something to u. Gettin a tatt of something u think is 'kewl' may not be so kewl to u 10 yrs from now. 
I know, just like putting a man's name on your body! lol My cousin is a tatt artist, he did my first 2. He flat out refuses to put names other than kids or parents names on someone. It's known as the ultimate kiss of death to a relationship gettin a SO's name tatted on u. 
so true. If he did compromise that, someone would be chasing him down to have it removed!! lol |

Well I do worship the female body...I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder Suppose so...what I'm wondering is if you don't like tattoos, what are you doing in a thread asking about tattoos... I think she wanted opinions from people who had gotten tattoos & piercings?

My opinion...for what it's worth: tattoos and piercings are a desecration of a temple designed to house the soul. Would you put grafitti on the Great Pyramids or dump orange dye over Niagra Falls? I'm just saying...  Highly illogical Captain.
You compare a sometimes motley collection of skin, muscle, bones, etcetera to natural wonders? Talk about apples and oranges. And be nice. It is uncool to call someone a dumbass on the threads. To the OP: Go for whatever makes you happy!!!! |

I love to look at them but I was thinking of getting one too But I'm afraid 10 years from now a tat would look like dripping paint and a piercing would look funny but that you can take out lol there is that to consider as well. I think I am weighing more towards the tat. Maybe on my hip. I just wanted to see if people who had them liked them, or maybe regretted it. I like my tats, just get something tatted that is of importance to you (child birthday, name, etc.). Both of mine were done in jail so they are not exactly pretty...but I simply love the one on my bicep. thanks fear. I think it would have to be something important, because it is there to stay! I have a tat and no piercings but i will tell you this, yes these days tats can be removed or covered. A piercing can be removed later. Either can leave scars. All skin becomes saggy. My tat is a representation of an old friendship and my love of rock music. It looks like a tribal sun, but it is one of my favorite bands symbol. And i added my own flare to it by mixing my favorite color pink into the black symbol. Think about what you really want before you jump into it. Because you dont want something to have to stare at everyday that you have or really didnt want to get after a few months or years. |

The only name tat I would ever get is if I got an autograph from someone I really admire and just had them put it on my body. Then I could head out to good business and get it inked.
David Tennant and James Marsters would be two people I wouldn't mind tattooing an autograph on my shoulder blade. |

I havent decided yet, I am working on a drawing that will have some meaning to me. I want to have it done either on the inside of my ankle ( so I can see it) or above the knee...Hmmm.. coarse I may end up with a dot... if it hurts alot!!

What i hate about tattoos is that some people think it makes them cool, or something. If you aint cool before you get a tattoo you aint going to be after, you are just gonna be a twat with a tat.

And as is evident...that guy doesn't have any. Personally, I have two...used to have a lot of piercings...but work hates piercings. I have 9 tattoos which might be alot for a female but hey that's what I wanted.
Work can cause a problem... depends on what type of job you have... you may have to hide them.

I don't have to hide my tattoos, and plan on getting more...a lot more. I just had to take out my piercing, I've had both my eyebrows, labret, nipples, eyebrows again (punk concert tragedy)...plan on covering my body in tattoos though. |

I LOVE my tattoos. Each one has a special memory behind it. My upper ear cartlidge piercing is the first of 7 that I want. The other piercing was a...ahem..gift from a very very good friend and I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE it too. Tattoos hurt for long than a piercing, but with a piercing if you decide later you don't like it you can take it out. I've had both sides of my nose done and my tongue. None of those 3 are there now. Tattoos are for life, at least in my book and I plan to get several more. My body is just that, my body. I decorate it as I see fit

Pain is dependent, mine didn't hurt at all...and mine were done with a steel rod shooting out of a pen cap at the speed of a audio recorder. Some people it hurts like hell, others don't feel a thing. |

I got my tat on my back.. never bothers me cause I never see it.. :) I couldn't even tell you what it is.. Ijust know its some markings... I have had my tongue and nipples done.. I got rid of the tongue cause I didn't want people to look at me and think about me what I think abotu girls that I see with it :P the nipples.. kinda got in the way of real pleasure.. so got rid of them and now have scars there... Id stick with the tat.. but temp at first... |
