New to Utah (In from Southern California) and I found myself single in a state where I might as well have a single eye, three horns, and purple skin. (I’m beginning to think it would actually be an improvement).

I can accept I’m not the best looking guy on this site but I am so discouraged by the fact that the people who contact me are OBVIOUSLY insincere and the profiles I reach out to ignore me completely. In California I had no issues and I must say I am embarrassed to be on a dating site in the first place. I am especially embarrassed to be here saying what I’m saying at this time.

It seems if I am to remain in Utah I must either plan on being single or seriously lower my standards. Could someone diagnose my profile and tell me what the hell is going on?

No doubt I am setting myself up with this post but I no longer care!

In my experience, its easier to choose when there is a pack to choose from. Which girl is more interesting than the next is so much more fun and more fulfilling than say, I met this girl shes a slouch, I gotta dump her now and find another, or how come I emailed Jessica Biel and shes not emailing me back, I must be ugly. If there are more women around you, this is ironic, more women will approach you. If you are single by yourself, women will not feel comfortable around you as much. The bar is set by the friends you find, not the imagination. I know I am here to meet friends first, then the fiancee.

I gave up trying. If you want to talk to me... you do. If you don't, you don't. I'm not chasing anyone. I've had enough disappointment. However, I do take offense to you saying your embarrassed being on a singles site... to others on the singles site. I'm not embarrassed one bit.
