and no I do not mean luggage used to carry clothing and toiletries around with
I have heard the term baggage used to describe someone who still has emotional issues with their ex, or legal issues, etc. I have also hear children referred to as baggage, and that quite honestly makes me rather upset, as Children are never anything other than the greatest gift in the world. What's your view on this issue? |

anything that is perceived to inhibit a relationship. What's baggage to one is welcome to another. But unresolved relationship and emotional issues are generally what people are thinking when referring to 'baggage'.

everyone has baggage
its a matter of whether you drag it around as a burden and try to get other people to help you carry it me, I use the concierge service and never handle my own baggage |

I am proud of the baggage in my life. My children I have never considered baggage and take it as an insult when someone refers to children as baggage.
The rest of the baggage in my life has come from living. Without baggage of some type you haven't lived in my opinion. I also believe that everyone makes the choice of what baggage to put aside, and learn from and what baggage to hang onto. Maybe the baggage that is still being hanged on to is a way of saying I can see where I made a mistake, and choose to keep this close as a reminder. Or it could be a bad thing. I guess it is how you look at it. |

Mostly it's about whether your baggage can be stowed overhead or whether you get charged the extra $25 just for bringing it.

I look at as unresolved "stuff" in your life, whether it's past romantic relationships, family relationships, whatever, that you take out on other people or allow to inhibit your life, as baggage. I've said it before, everyone who has ever lived a life has baggage, it's all in how you carry it.

For me it's an ex wife & underage kids. It means the guy is still involved with his ex wife hopefully only as it relates to his kids. I don't consider myself have baggage since I never had kids and no longer have any contact with my ex's. I hate to say it but with the horror stories about ex wifes as it relates to kids make me only interested in mens who don't have kids or kids that are over the age of 18. JMO
