Quite a few people get no messages at all. It makes me laugh when I read complaints and whines about the type of messages you receive. I suppose it would be better to be completely ignored?
 Oh right, you must be expecting a well thought out message before you will reply. Guess what? Many people do not bother composing a clever initial e-mail since the chances are VERY PROBABLE that it will not be answered anyway.

I don't bother replying unless the person makes it clear that (a) they've read my profile; (b) shows he can construct a relatively grammatical sentence, with relatively decent punctuation and spelling (doesn't have to be perfect, just show a basic knowledge of the English language); and (c) says something I can actually respond to.
Text speak and "hi" just don't cut it, sorry to say. |
