Bloomberg has reported that Billionaire Liberal, George Soros, invested a major stake (over 20% of his hedge fund) in the Brazilian Oil producer PetroBras.

PetroBras stock has dropped ~28%.

Meanwhile back in the Bat Cave, President Obama has funneled $2B in US taxpayer dollars into PetroBras to spur on that company's offshore drilling programs.

So let me get this straight. We can't drill in the eastern GOM, nor on the eastern shelf nor the western shelf because we're promoting "alternative energy". But funneling US tax dollars to a foriegn oil company that our President's friend is heavily invested in is ok..

Oh hush Adj, I was not responding to the OP. I was just commenting on the fact that the poster said democrats were doing wonders for the republican party, as if the 8 years of Bush never existed and we don't remember what the hell the republicans did when they were in power.

Actually, he's very libertarian/constitutionalist and the only one to hold everyone and everything to the same standard that I have seen. Just look at his record and how he campaigned. he practices what he preaches. He may no be perfect, but he's the best example of a good politician I've seen in recent times.

I'm betting he's registered republican because that's where his economic values lie (true republican values, not bush and co values) and knows he'll never get elected on a third party ticket. kind of hard to mess with the system if you can't get inside..
