Topic: What's up with Sprint? | |
---|---|
Well, I recently purchased a Palm Treo Pro from Sprint. I tried to set it up to sync with my computer. It took me three nights of trying to get it set up properly, and I finally got it to sync tonight, but there's another problem. I use the Sierra 598 to connect to the internet through Sprint. When my palm connects to my computer while I'm online, my modem disconnects and tells me I can't have two connections. I need to be online for somethings such as my music to sync properly. Is there a way around this? I e-mailed Sprint and I'm waiting for them to reply.

If you are connected directly to the computer (cable not bluetooth) you should be able to turn off the data on the phone while you sync.

Ah, you're smart. I didn't think about that. I'll try it. Thanks
I just tried it. It didn't work. I tried airplane mode. I turned the phone radio off, and I truned off Data Connection. Nothing worked. |

I just found out it's not even supported through USB, and I have to buy a bluetooth dongle now.

I found a cheap bluetooth dongle on Amazon, the shipping and handling cost more than the device. It was not even $3, but S&H brought it to 11 something. Hopefully it works.
