If love is blind, do you believe marriage is an eye opener or the blind leading the blind, explain?

love is blind ...
then you catch her sleeping with your uncle ! |
|
|

I think it can be either, it depends on the people. Some people truely belong together, and some don't find out truely who their partner is until they get married.

Oh, please. If love was truly blind....everyone would be with someone. I'm not... blind, and never been with a one... or is it more grammatical to say "never been with an one". (Since the next word starts with a wovel, after the indefinite article.) |

Maybe it would be best if love truly was blind.. then we could all live happily ever after.. maybe? You mean... we could truly love an one and be happy doint it only if: 1. We were permanently blind or 2. We were permanently in love with the other. Since there indications that marriages don't last forever, some not even to the grave never mind after the grave, we can safely draw the conclusions that: 1. Nobody stays blind for too long; or 2. True love does not last all that long; or 3. Both. The Fire That Burns Inside It is what gives us warmth And makes tea water boil. It is what makes light, And lends us to carefree talk. It is what crackles quietly And makes the voice go hoarse. It is what dries our lips And makes us thirst for a kiss. It is what makes us hot And throw off all our clothes. It is what makes our love And lays its sweetness in our core. It is what goes up the chimney And into the thin, cool, night air. It is what leaves us without notice, And collapses into ashes; no more. It is what we’ll keep on yearning Forever, always, and evermore. |

personally.......his breathing pissed me off!!! Yeah, the jerk kept waking up in the morning, damn!!!! I even tried vacuuming up the trail of popcorn he left so his drunken butt could find his way home at night, but the sucker still found his way home . Either that or he would walk into the police station and report the car stolen and they would drive him home, God he was embarassing. |

Great question! I think that love is blind... it is an eye opener to some, and the blind leading the blind to others. It all depends on who you are and who you are with. For some they eventually realize that the love they thought they had was not that at all. For the others who are willing to spend their lives learning together what it really takes to make a marriage work, then it is the blind leading the blind.
