Sorry that has happened to you. You do have every right to be angry, I mean breaking up via text message. Cowardly way out if you ask me.

That's an incredibly immature way to break up with someone.

Thats how my last gf broke up with me. It was totally out of the blue and I thought everything was ok. But while I was at work she texted me saying that she hardly saw me anymore (I work at nights and she works in the day) and she found someone else. I didn't let it sink in until I was on my way home and yes I was livid. Words will never describe the anger and hate and pain I felt that night.
To this day if I see her or hear from her I get angry and depressed all over again (and we broke up the day after Valentine's day). |

Same here. A couple of times in fact. It just makes you wanna wonder what these people are thinking when they pull that crap.
I mean... we're adults, and (as such) you'd think we can take being dumped. But it's gotta be done in a manner that's not low-rent or totally full of crap- if you've gone out with someone for any decent amount of time (let alone four years), you'd think you were owed at least that much. It just goes to show how little the person in question actually cared for you in the first place. |

are these all examples real-life, close-by relationships, or are they ones of online only?
i can't understand why one couldn't break up with another that they lived near in person. is it that hard to say good-bye? |

You have every right to be upset. That just wasn't cool!

A crappy thing to do. Says much about her character. Not sure I'd want to be with someone like that anyhow.

I agree that it's ref@ckingtarded. I went through a breakup just awhile back where the girl had sent me a text message that was actually intended for someone else's eyes. A cheating lying hooch is what she was. After asking about the message, which was about me even, she still couldn't give me any reasoning behind it. It's an immature and cowardly scapegoat. When people breakup with someone, they should give them a reason and they should do it face to face.
