I use to be a Vol.Firefighter and I just hate the fact that my kids bought a house with the bed rooms upstairs Make sure they have a plan and fireladders to throw out the window. We had drills all the time and although it was 4:30 in the morning...my kids were prepared and knew what to do. Out house was a BIG 2 story 100 year old home. when we did training you wouldnt belive how easy it is to get turned around and not know where the hell your at.... you cant see 6 inchs in front of your face I know....I went back into our house...for a rabbit my son had in there....I could not believe how thick that smoke was...red and thick......I couldn't breathe at all and got turned around in my son's bedroom....finally made it back to the window and got out

My oldest son went out the upstairs window as planned, only my middle son and my husband had to go to the hospital for smoke. We were SO blessed and lucky!

so are you behaving yourself while on vacation Viv? Yes I am....darn it!! I met a mingle2 man that lives in Mt...we went sight seeing and had dinner together...that was fun and? He was a perfect gentleman....did get a hug and kiss before he left tho!!

Talk about having nightmares afterwares....woa! My youngest son drew pictures forever about a big ball of fire coming out of the house and drew 2 angel kitties....Viv you were VERY lucky to get back out....we left with NOTHING but our kids...my hubby didn't even have on clothes....NO TIME, just seconds and we would have all been dead.
