Topic: Should a woman show her cleavage on this site or not? | |

OH AND P.S. .... GYPSY, I DON'T HAVE ANY EITHER, BUT I SHOW
MINE..... |

Hi, Gypsy,
Personality -- sense of humor, intelligence, knowledge, zest for life, curiosity, conversational ability -- is to me the real turn-on. Cleavage displays may get a moment of initial attention but my overall reaction is somewhat negative, to tell the truth. Of course, I am just another babbling male Oceans |

You know, it's a funny thing...I've been on Internet dating sites for
seven years and, up until recently, never had a bikini/cleavage/legs shot in my profile. This is the first time in a long time I've felt even remotely comfortable wearing one and a friend of mine said I looked good enough to put one up, so I did. I figured I'd get laughed at and called fat and so forth and so on but, much to my surprise, with only two exceptions -- and those were women, so who gives a damn? LOL -- all I've gotten have been compliments. When I was much much younger, and had a much MUCH better-looking body, there is no WAY I'd have put up a swimsuit photo. I was much too self-conscious about the way I looked. As I've aged, I don't know if it's more of the fact I have more self-confidence, or if it's partly that I just don't give a damn what people think anymore. I think probably a little of both. What's more, I haven't gotten ANY overtly sexual comments on this site or on any others that I have the same pics up, yet I've gotten some absolutely filthy ones (like I was talking about before) from men who either haven't seen a pic of me at all or who have seen pics of me only in street clothes. So go figure. I think anyone who reads my profile and takes note of all of my pictures and who, particularly, reads my posts, will be able to figure out I'm hardly what you'd call "easy." And the fact I haven't gone out with but about 9 men in seven years (and only had sex with one of them) should speak to that, too. Now, I could see someone getting the "wrong idea" if I was POSING provocatively (swimsuit or no), and if my posts were really trashy, etc., but to assume that I'm "easy" because I have a bathing suit on in my picture is ...well, rather STUPID, IMO. I mean, if a woman is wearing a swimsuit at a beach, does that means she's easy? Or does that change the perspective, because it's a beach? I've seen some women on the beach who have swimsuits on that cover so little they might as well be naked. So, in my particular case, if anyone's wondering if the reason I have a swimsuit pic up is to suggest "Come'n git it," well, hardly. I have swimsuit pics up because these days I feel like I look pretty damn decent, particularly for being close to 50, and it probably won't be that much longer that I'll be comfortable wearing a swimsuit in public anymore. Hell, even the Miss America, etc., contestants wear swimsuits. Are they considered "easy" because they're wearing them? So gypsy, if you want to put a swimsuit pic on here, then I say go for it. |

I will probably get shot fot this, but to me, cleavage is nice but not
something I would base a relationshipon, it is the whole person I am interested in.I had a wife that had a lot of cleavage, and inside she was black as coal, if you know what I mean. Me, I like too see a lady, with a nice dress or a blouse, with just a little hint of cleavage, a pretty face and a good personality, a sense of humor, honest. To me that is sexier than showing it all (Cleavage).SOmetimes when I see a pic of a lady, showing it all, it makes me think, that in their mind, that is all they have going for them and that is what every man wants, , but for me, that is not it. |

I just wanted to clarify things that I was not able to last night, as my
connection got shut down... In the context of what the OP was stating... of the subject of being competition of sorts....cleavage or no... I don't think that it is a competition and taking into that into account said what I said. Was no way stating that I thought it wrong... And yes Sheila, I don't beleive that anyone has the right to say rude and sexual remarks just because a cleavage picture is up or even a bikini shot. Or even for that matter speak those words at all.... That's ridiculous that anyone thinks they have the right to do so. And it certainly is unwarranted in any situation...Although as we both know there are people out there that will be rude and nasty.. There are many beautiful women on this site, and each has the freedom to put up whatever pictures they feel like putting up without fear of rude and nasty remarks, whether it be from men or women..... But within the context of little boobs, big boobs and competition...I don't believe that it's about that...it was spoken in jest |
