How about just plain old common sense. If you want people to listen, you have to be able to listen as well.

Been listening for years.

Tired of not being heard...

Tired of listening to skewed data and outright lies.

Tired of listening to someone TELL me what I need.

Tired of being taken for granted.

Tired of politicans that feel they are greater than the whole of this nation.

What I saw as far as those 'angry' responses... Our politicians underestimated us... They thought they had us fooled and were shocked at the INFORMED people in those crowds.

and I noticed that those people did not start out yelling... That started when their comments were SHOUTED down by the very politician that is now saying they are 'unruly'.

I agree that we should be calm about telling them how we feel.

Problem with calm is the politicians don't seem to listen to calm.

Unless you got a fistfull of money.

Rude is rude. If you have people shouting in your face and demanding to be heard but can't stop shouting long enough to listen... what the heck would they do under the same circumstances. They would do the same damn thing, call it what it is. An unruly mob.

I didn't see INFORMED people, I saw people acting rudely and some down right strange. The politicians were not given a chance to listen to calm.

Respect is a two way street.

I went to Kratovils townhall meeting yesterday, and there wasn't much yelling or shouting.. He said he doesn't support the bill, so we didn't have to yell.. He also knows hes in a district with a 3-1 republican advantage..

I agree. The people that voted for Obama knew that his plan was to help uninsured people to be covered. How many people voted for him? Didn't he win the popular vote and the electoral vote by a landslide? lol

The number of people that voted isn't even close to the total number of people that pay taxes.. 60 million votes is about 240 million people shy of the total population..

So your theory about people that voted for him support his plan, might be true, but the majority of Americans don't support it..

Mirror, you can do your best to deflect the facts, but it was Hillary supporters that started the birth certificate waving..

The system has been doing that for years... It took me forever to get into one of those last year.

wait... to judge these people.

The bad thing bout a public venue is the abundance of video recording devices...

Those recordings should hit the WWW in 1 to 3 days...

Those people INSIDE the town halls are real... and the truth will come out.

News is but half the story... and they edit their stuff... Mom and Pop Kettle will have nothing to hide and won't edit...

I would not ***-u-me that the politician is afraid of anything,

As for Obama considering his time in office 6 months he has done good things. He cannot fix all that is wrong in this country in his time in office but he is sure trying to help it.

Universal Health care should be and can be done in this country. People need to realize that there are forces at work that do not want it and will say anything to stop it from happening. But that doesn't stop the fact that we are fully capable of having it here and making it work here.
