I don't remember if I ever started a thread like this or not, but I DO know I have mentioned it before. I have NEVER been asked on a date since WELL before my marriage. I've been divorced almost three years now. Three years of guys hitting on me, but never a date request. Why is this? Do men not ask ladies on dates anymore? Why not? What the hell happened? Some guys arn't 'hitting' there building up to ask... My experience. See a well set up lady... but you don't know her. Try to strike up a conversaton (but gotta be WAY careful case she's one o the ones that think i'm HITTING on her). If she don't brush you off with that 'Who the f are YOU - pervert' look. The minute you talk close to the word 'date'. She finds a quick reason to need distance. 
"Date" wouldn't make me distance. And a conversation, as in "Hey, that's a cool book you're reading." or "Watcha reading?" would be wonderful. But no. I get "Hey baby, wanna go somewhere private?" That's not a date. That's BS. hey that's a cool book you're reading

so the asking for a girl who isnt stupid thing didnt go over too well....i see didnt really expect it too which is why i am single and probably will be until i stop wanting a girl who isnt stupid 
Oh, it's fine to look for a smart one... But be SUAVE, silly! That will tell the smart one that you are also smart (cuz you can BET she's looking for a smart guy - MAYBE with a happy blend of smart-azz, but that has to come with a brain, too!)

My first date is going to be a freeby except for what it costs me for my gas to drive there and my hotel room, here's why.
1. I have spent over 10k in the past 6 months driving to, picking up potential m8's, doing my best to make sure they have fun in hopers of a LTR and it end in nothing. 2. I always get a room and I return to it after I drop her off because without knowing her better sex is out of the question, most women don't anyhow in the beginning so this one is easy. Plus I simply hate ONS's. 3. There is plenty to do for free and still have fun like, walking nature trails or going to a park. Spending time together and talking. etc etc etc I figure if she's truly intrested she won't care about my money because I don't care about hers. If the first day or 2 goes well, then I might spend some money and take her out if we get past the first couple days. This may seem wierd to some but, to the right woman, it will be perfectly acceptable and will go rather well. |

Actually, I was just being me. I love going out and having fun.
Staying in and snuggling up with a good movie is great to don't get me wrong but, I like a wide variety of activities. I raised a daughter so I learned to enjoy shopping alot too lol. I just got the feeling in some cases that I was being used for my money so I just decided to remove it from the equation in the beginning. |

MOST OF THE TIME WHEN MEN HINT AT EVEN ASKING A LADY ,THEY USUALLY COME UP WITH SOME KIND OF BAD ATTITUDE.OR EVERYTHINGS NOT JUST PERFECT.ONE EXAMPLE IS I PICKED THIS LADY TO A NICE DINNER,AND A MOVIESHE HAD REQUISTED ,THE FIRST THING OUT OF HER MOUTH WAS I CAN OPEN MY OWN DOOR I DON'T NEED A MAN FOR THAT .BUT TO ME IT WAS JUST PLAIN COURTESY .WHERE ARE THE WOMEN THAT WANTS TO BE TREATED LIKE A LADY AND WITH RESPECT.
