My daughter and her friends took me out tonight to the casino and dancing. The band there played a wide variety of songs to dance to (including my era). While dancing with them I lost a sense of age and time. Has that ever happened to you when you were hanging with another generation?

No problem here.. I can blend well with all ages... whether 18+ or over the hills generation...

This is what I get when I go clubing with my adult kids.

Dad... act your age!
Dad... Will you quit flirting with her... eeww!
Dad... Please don't dance like that!
Oh your such a dork!
Dad... This isn't the 60's...

I seem to have much more fun than they do.bigsmile

I have no friends here my age...every one is married, or super religious.
My friends are my 25 year old sons friends. They are 20 to 35 and we have a great time. Their parents think I'm a freak. But they are stuffy old people...

Knowing I am only 25, , and still convinced I was born in the wrong era. I love it when I get people of my age group and people of the older age group going out to wherever and just having a good time.

It almost seems when there is only that 21-30 crowd there, everyone just seems to end up acting like they are 12 again and drama always starts. :P

I don't consider myself old yet, so I have no idea.

All I can say is THATS AWESOME!!

Heres a sing I used to dance all around my house to when I was a teenager.

Something about dancing that can take you to a place you can goto no other way. Liberating.

I love going out with the young kids and teaching the dances that were popular when I was young

like the foxtrot

and the Charleston

Glad you had a good time!!! i know what you mean.I seem to either fit in really well with the younger kids or with the older generations.i dont mind it.Seems everyone my age here is just too busy trying to build their perfect lives for themselves instead of going out and having fun either with friends or their kids so i do my own thing.

Ohhh now I enjoy going out with my kids at times. I will join them at the club once in a while when they are shooting pool have a few beers with my son and his friends or even meet them at Applebee's I will stay for a while joke around with them ect but make my exit when it is time. Lmao heck I get along with their friends fine always have. When the kids were growing up they use to love to hang out at my house mainly cause I would talk to them and joke around with them made them feel at home.

Being with anyone makes me lose my sense. Young, old, I've tried them all...neither worked. When I take over the world I'm going to segregate it into age groups.smokin
