The eastern world is explodin,Violence flowin, bullets loadin, Your
old enough to kill, butt not for votin. You dont beleive in war butt watts that gun your totin??? An even the Jordan river has bodies floatin. Butt you tell me, over and over again,my friend,Ah you dont beleive were on the eve of destruction. Dont you understand watt im tryin to say.An cant you feel the fears im feelin today? If the button is pushed thers no runnin away,Therell be no one to save with the world in a grave. Take a look around you, boy,its bound to scare you boy. Yeah my bloods so mad feels like coagulatin. Im just sittin here contemplatin. I cant twist the truth, It knows no regulation,Handfull of senators dont pass legislation,An marches alone cant bring intergration, When human respect is disintergratin. This whole crazy world is just to frustratin. Think of all the hate there is in Red China,Then take a look around to Selma Alabama, Ah you may leave here for four days in space. But when you return its the same ol place. The pounding of drums, the pride and disgrace, You can bury your dead, butt dont leave a trace.. Hate your next door neighbour, but dont forget to say grace. An tell me over and over again,my friend, You dont beleive were on the eve of destfuction NO, NO,you dont beleive were on the EVE of DESTRUCTION. have a nice time folks while this world lasts. |

hit of blotter. |

Dylan in his prime. Ahead of his time? No, he fit right in, still
does. Love that song. |

kariZman-
i sincerely do appreciate you as a person and your past service to this country, i know youve seen the face of evil and were able to walk away from it alive. I do believe that you are correct in your assertions that we are doing ourselves no favors with how we treat the environment and our fellow humans, all of us human are guilty of being less than brotherly. and advocating the demise of another human to save what you believe to be the holy mother earth is not the way to come together to solve the issues that we face today. i love the song, hidden amongst the demogodry is some very powerful messages to those who wish to see them. having said all that- im proud to be on the forefront of the eve of destruction, at least i'll have a first class ticket to the show and wont miss a thing. one for you and one for me. doc |
