Topic: What CD do you think had the most impact on music? | |

What CD do you think, in the last 20 years, had the most
impact on music as you know it. In my opinion, Nirvana's "Nevermind" is that CD. It laid waste to the mindless crap called pop and forced other bands to write more meaningful songs. If Kurt hadn't shot himself we may never have seen the likes of Nsync, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, etc. |

I also have to thank Eminem for killing off the
boy-band pop machine. |

I think 40 licks by the Rolling Stones was good or Are you expeirenced
by Jimi Hendrix but in this era I would have to agree on Nirvanas: Nevermind but it really makes me think what would have happened if Kurt was still alive due to the fact he hated the whole being a celebrity thing , i wonder if he would have given up the Nirvana scene and mostly the music scene all together |

He said in the last 20 years but the Stones are awsome I actually would
have to say the 70's had the greatest impact Bob Seger, Steve Miller, BTO, etc., etc., etc. |

I think the Sex Pistols Never Mind the Bollocks was the most important
punk album. It brought punk out to many who would never see it otherwise, and yet remained anti-estblishment. But for rock and roll you have to go back beyond the last 30 years to find the most important album. After I said The Beatles I started to think about a country guy who had a big effect on Rock and Roll - Johnny Cash. |
