I watch PIMP YOUR RIDE with Xzibit and would like 2 know if its a fake tv show.i ask this because some of the cars on the show are right death traps, wot i call in the uk "A SHED" and if some of these cars were to be on our roads the police here in the uk would send them straight 2 the scrapyard...so has anybody in the states ever seen any off the finished cars or had mates who have had their car PIMPED..

yes it is a real TV show and to the best of my knowledge they are legal....Also, remember that the recipient of those cars is responsible for state and lcoal laws...is the US a great place to live...is freedom you know...

bloody hell,if we had a car over here with no wings or no lights we would get it crushed over here, and some off the cars i have seen on the show" b4 they get pimped "look like right old sheds and would have no chance off passing an MOT over here "a mot is a bit off paper 2 say the car is road worthy over here in the uk "

"wings" must mean something very different over there. here it would indicate we have tiny planes zipping around. ha. as far as lights go, the laws are often extremely strict on them. if they remove or cover the factory lights they must have new ones installed that are DOT (department of transportation) approved. many may be hidden and only seen when illuminated.

the US has some of the tightest vehicle regulations in the world. it adds a lot of cost to importing cars. when gm brings a vehicle to the US market from holden, their austrailian division, it ends up heavier and uglier. sad2

and that show is idiotic. i wouldn't drive half that crap if you paid me.

ah yes. most states are very strict on fenders, or at least the wheelwell section of them, so that tires aren't flinging water and possible road debris on other drivers.

lol. yeah, they're just giant toy cars now. i was born a few decades too late. i love the old muscle cars and it would be cool to drive them when they were brand new. today's cars have no steering or brake feel and it's more like playing a video game than driving. i like to feel road, hear the roar of the engine while it's cranking out 500lbft of torque drool

there are two types of wings that are regarding cars right??

there are those ridiculous spoiler wings which make cars look like a grocery story shopping cart...

and the retro ones from the late fifties early sixties which were backlight wings.

i think.
