The best part of being single is no one asking me questions. Like: is the coffee ready yet?, will you bring me a cup?, is lunch ready yet?, can you get me a beer?, when's dinner?, what's for dinner?,you really want me to take out the trash?, Mow the yard?, but the best one is ...you want what tonight?

Being free ; not feeling like property being tied down to the proverbial ball and chain

I grabbed the bus and headed out to the college today to talk to some profs about my Masters. After that, I went back downtown and walked around, bought a few things at my favorite store, went to the downtown park and had some wine and kabobs while watching the kids run through the sprinkler fountain, walked around downtown some more, and went home. The entire time you bet your A** I watched the cute men and flirted a bit with my eyes.

Nobody texted me to ask me where I was and with whom.

There was no guilt as I watched the men.

I didn't have to tell anyone what I spent, on what and why, and where I got the money when I got home.

Ahhh... the single life is nice sometimes!
