I was talking to my roommate and told him that the people on here were so much more interesting than the people I meet irl. He looked at me and said, "Maybe they're not... maybe they're just being THEMSELVES online." It made me think. I'm certainly different online than in person. I'm WAY more outgoing and willing to talk to strangers. ...even cute boys... So, how are YOU different online, if you are? And if you're not, why not? I'm actually no different offline, I'm pretty good at scaring people in real life as well.

I've always heard about people making things up about themselves online and I don't get the point. What...say you're a doctor when you're really a plumber and people will be nice to you? It's a little like wearing a wig and a rubber nose in public. It's not you! My profile is what I'm all about, I get quite a few complaints about the serial killer bit...I guess it isn't a "highly" acclaimed trait to have.

Sometimes I find myself talking to real life friends/family and telling them about conversations on Mingle. "Billy said this and Billy said that" and they are probably thinking, "But they're pretend. Grow the hell up!"

I have met 2 gals from dating sites, one had a picture up of a cute slim gal.. when I met her she was about 80+ pounds heavier and about 10 years older than pictured, The other claimed to be same age as myself.. when we met.. she was at least 15 years older and really butch. |

Well, serial killers need friends too. If they don't like you because of that then they aren't worth having as friends OR victims. So there! Well, I don't know about friends...could have a rather high mortality rate.
