If the current 'Harry Potter' film makes the right amount of money, the franchise will become the biggest money maker in film history, passing the 'James Bond' franchise. This is just wrong. Movies about kid wizards making more money than good old 007. 'Pop Culture' is now dictated by geeks and children. The decline of Civilization,as we know it. be seeing you

i can tell you a lil reason why, alot of people outgrew james bond, i love 007 growing up, but when that new guy took place in quantom of solice or whatever its called and casino royal it didnt feel like the same old james bond, and i think that the younger generation is more into fantasy type things then dangerous missions and things with secret fbi stuff. I can see why harry potter whill outdo james bond * plus, harry potter has books & movies* james bond just had movies.

One reason may be that movies are much bigger business these days than they were twenty years ago. James Bond is still going but its heyday has long gone.

Thus proving the fact that movies are a much bigger business today than in the past. Its not the best ever Bond film by a long shot.

I'd be interested to see what percentage of the population is really into Potter vs the same from Bond. The thing about sales numbers is they don't take into account inflation and a greater population. In terms of sheer dollars and cents Potter may have won out, but I bet if I just started going door to door I could find five bond fans for every potter fan. At least among the adults, no bet for the kids.

Dan,you are right. 'Quantum' is not the best the franchise has to offer. 'Casino Royale' is one of the best. And Daniel Craig is the best 007,ever. be seeing you
