I'm sitting out side on my front steps last night smoking (I'm an outdoor smoker) and the cops come rolling up in front of my house. I'm looking around to see where their going because all is quiet in the neighborhood. They come up my sidewalk about the time I'm smashing my smoke out, and ask me for my cigarette. HUH?
They got a call that someone was doing drugs... I roll my own, have for a long time. It seems a neighbor saw me and thought I was smoking a joint.
"ummm, sorry miss, have a great night."
Then they go across the street to talk to the neighbor. Why can't people mind their own business..

sounds like your neighbors need to get a life. I could see a concern IF their were children involved....but hopefully the neighbors will now know to back off and get a life....JMO

Think of it as a positive .. at least your neighbours are concerned enough for the WHOLE 'HOOD that they acted upon it , rather then NOT...

The only time in over 25 years a cop has bothered me was fairly recently.
They actually knocked on my door at 2:00am to tell me that my sons truck .....The bumper was blocking the sidewalk.. ARE YOU FLIPPIN KIDDING ME!!!!!

It is a black truck, in the dark, the drunks walking home from the bar might walk right into it!

done it to my old neighbors. He was a nasty mean old man, chased kids off his lawn. He was obsessed with his drive way, had to be clean, perfect. He would sit outside an wait for something to fall on the driveway. He was even outside killing bugs that landed on his driveway.

SO.... me an my father could not take it anymore, we went an got a paintball gun, got the paintballs (red) an let lose on his driveway. Was great to see him try to get the pain up. Took him about a month, he never found out it was us.

No I am not kidding and don't take my comments out of context . I just meant that they care about the neighbourhood you are in , NOT that they are out to get you .... it was more of a WHOLE scene thing NOT to focus on you .... you see??.. no harm , no foul is my motto

We have a low crime rate, which is really nice actually. They need stuff to do otherwise they start pulling people over for lack of nothing better to do. They probably got pretty excited when they got the call.... woo hoo a drug bust..

I had an old senior (75 or over) call the police once because (can you believe it?)he thought the bumper of my car was about 1/2 inch blocking the driveway Police laughed at him but he continued reporting any cars which were slightly near his drive way and got many people tickets.
I am happy to inform you he is dead and needless to say not by my doings by natural causes of course
