that is a very good question, and i have no idea the answer to it. i dont think there is a right or wrong answer to it. each situation is different and all of the varibles change.

Out of all my exes there are only 3 that I still talk to, and only on occassion. We stay away from current relationships, our past together and things of that nature.

A few girls I dated are still friends. The ex wife and I only speak about our son and thats it which is how I prefer that. So I'd say yes depending on circumstances involved with how you break it off.
