I had a wierd angry sexual mutual attraction with this guy in the past, and wed argue, and then be furiously sexual, and have grudge sex.
I got tired of that crap, and ditched him when he started making personl insults. PFFT! O yeah, and he STILL calls me!

My late husband and I were opposites in many ways yet we did very well together. Being opposites gave us much to talk about, share and learn from each other. I do however think that was an exception, better in general if more in common.

how is a redneck the opposite of a nerd? are you saying being a redneck is cool? 
i know a really skinny guy with a big fat wife. they're doing well but they look like a "10" when they stand next to each other. |

I think that opposite more or less fascinate the other and they may last a while with each other. But..........sooner or later the new will wear off and they will be looking either for someone else that fascinates them for a while or for someone that they have more in common with.
Myself I don't want someone that is a mirror image of me but at least have some things in common that we both enjoy. Personality and humor are two of the main things that someone I'm with has to have.

opposites or not, i have to agree they'd be an awkward fit. my longest relationship was with a girl who seemed nothing like me but within a few months we realized that some of our main personality traits were extremely similar...bad news. 5 years later it was over. my best relationship was with a girl who was my opposite in almost every way but it worked great because we filled each others' gaps. so yeah, i guess opposites do attract. |
