...15mins of FAME, yet? What would make you famous anyway? This is my one real concern about being an author -- because I'm about as reclusive as one can get without hiding out in a Tibetan monastery or something. If my books ever got to the level of Stephen King-prominence or something along those lines, I'm not sure how I would react to that. On the other hand, writing books is probably one of the more "anonymous" creative outlets available -- not like music or acting, for example -- I have yet to see anyone walking around wearing a Clive Cussler t-shirt.... |

...15mins of FAME, yet? What would make you famous anyway? No, i do not think i've had my 15 mins of FAME as yet. As for the second part of the question, i have no idea as to what would make me famous........but as one saying goes, "Nothing happens unless first we dream." Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you, the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world. To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe. Let me end with another saying which says, some men see things as they are and say, "Why?". So if you want to be famous then dream of things that never were and say, "Why not?". |

Minor rockstar, minor porn star, minor motorcycle racer. Associate music producer, music engineer, combat decorated vet. Physicist. Engineer. Adventurer. Now in hiding because that 15 minutes of fame is not all its cracked up to be. Depending on how you look at it. Hiding in a crowd is a good thing. Having your life dictated by others because of celebrity status limits your freedoms that you can enjoy. Ask any rockstar or moviestar. Your life is not your own. K

I had a few minutes of it when I did the Heimlich on a 400 lb guy a few years back. I was on the other side of a restaurant, and heard a lot of noise. Being trained to both save lives, and take them, I went to see wtf was up. Two guys were trying poorly to wrap him up, but they were too short. Being 6'4", I have gorilla arms. The steak was outta his mouth within 20 seconds.
Dinner was free for me and my friend. |

Registered as a war hero in the george washington university national security archives and credited with surrender, removal, and apprehension of general manuel noriega in panama in 1985 from the church he was hiding in declaring religious sanctuary by setting up and blaring heavy metal rock music at the church for 4 days at earsplitting volumes until the clergy and nuns had enough and handed him over to the custody of us- the US army- the big red one, little white one. First cavalry- worst of the first, counterterrorism force. Hoo ha. I did not know I was registered for this feat until this spring until it was brought to my attention by those inquiring what songs I played on the "Noriega hit list". K

LOL. I suppose I was bit of a B-lister amongst a small group of car guys. Then again, was I 'famous' or was it the car? I don't think I could handle being truly famous.
