Topic: too many friends makes you suspicious | |

I get that sometimes from non-posters. According to some, if you got too many friends on mingle, you are some sort of a "player", or there is something wrong with you.
What do you think? |

I think they've never been to myspace.

some people just collect pictures regardless of whether they know em or not
I get friends invites all the time from people I never heard of. They seem offended when I say no but all the friends on my profile really are friends |

It's funny. I know of one site where I often see girls with a sign-up date of 2 or 3 days ago, and they have 1733 friends already. Of course, I've never gotten a message or a friend request on THAT site that WASN'T from a scammer.
I've never seen it as a "red flag" issue here, though. But then I've never seen anyone here who obtained 1733 friends in a few days, either. |

Ok, how about "you've been here too long". Does that make me suspicious ?
Mingle2 is unlike myspace or facebook, those aren't like having a discussion forum. Many people treat mingle2 like 'yahoo personals' or 'match.com'. Basically, some might think, hanging around too long on a dating site makes some think that I might be something like a 'social reject" ? |
