What is the weirdest thing you have eaten?

Mine is Blowfish..I had the pleasure of eating blowfish when I was in New York a few years ago. And whoever knows food blowfish if it's not cleaned properly it can kill you because, of the toxins..It was great made my mouth numb alittle bit but, a nice fresh finish to it..

yes, that it is, and i commend you on trying the blowfish, for i always worry about the chef's abilities, or that one mistake he just might make, so i haven't tried it yet. been tempted! did you try it in tenn? or on the coast?

being an intern maybe? or close to it, what are your takes on how the poison might just make you sick?....and then be fine?

also, if the sea urchin is not fresh, the after-taste will ruin your taste efforts for the whole evening....found out the hard way...sick

I put frozen meatballs in a crock pot then let them cook for a little bit.. like an hour I guess then put 1 jar of chili sauce in and a smaller jar of grape jelly. Just let it cook through till it tastes good.

I have many of recipes... I love to cook biggrin

Well I was in New York when I tried it..And from what I understand theres only like 4 or 5 chefs in the U.S. that are licensed to prepare blowfish.Im not going to lie it freaked me out knowing that I could die if just the slightest mistake was made preparing it.. And I've heard stories that not all people die from eating the poisoned fish but, I assuming the more you consume the greater of risk you are taking..The finished piece was amazing! It was sliced VERY thin but very full of flavor..A mild finish...

I've had snails sauted in garlic and butter. They were delicious!!! Perhaps the chef did not cook them properly when you had them.

welllllll! it was worth it.....aaafter you ate it! it's jumping that precipice to get there!drinker drinker congrats!

normally i have a rule, a three dollar hot dog is not worth a $100 stomach ache, if i wonder if something's OK to eat.........but i'm still curious, and always try new foods regardless....as long as it's food,,,, and not poop falling directly from the sky....fresh too!
