I wouldn't put my child in a position like that anyway. I was telling you the legal definition. rape is more specific of a charge. molestation doesn't mean rape. but again....it wasn't proven and I wouldn't believe those parents if their tongues came notarized

None of us here knew him, were privy to his life, what was actually going on, we are all speculating. I really have to hold onto the belief that a violation against a child is punishable, no matter who you are or how much money you have.

It's easy to get outraged at allegations for offenses against children, but...the fact remains, NONE of us here REALLY know for certain what occurred or what didn't.

very true. I'm a huge child advocate and would be the first to yell if I thought there was proof or if I knew something first hand

No sane person approves of the abuse of a child but it has to be proved and unfortuneately that was not done.

Would I allow my child; desperately ill or not, to spend the night with a star or any other stranger? No.

But if you are poor and think it might be the one magical moment in their life and you have a host of "do gooder's" pressureing you to make your child's dream come true (and were promised supervision) maybe you would be too intimadated into saying no.

The sad fact is society pays lip service to the saftey of children from preditors. We do little or nothing to screen adults access to cildren.

If you try to keep your child out of mainstream activities such as sleep overs, summer camp, school trips, showering at a sports facility, even useing a public bathroom because we let convicted preditors loose in society you are seen as the crazy one stunting their normal social developement.

it's hard for me to really mourn anyone that i don't know personally, and even more hard to mourn someone who i don't value at all.

I cant believe that people are so quick to judge , I believe if ANY THING was happening to those kids, it would have came out, I love kids and my grand niece spends the night with me every now and then, but that doesnt make me a pedophile, it means that I love her and enjoy spending time with her!! Only God can judge him, And I WILL not pretend to think I am God!!

He was a phenomonal singer, and dancer. Was the tops in his professional life for a long time. That is no guarantee that your personal life is going to be tops. In a way you could say he had it all while at the same time he had nothing.


The focus now should be on his children. They are the ones who need support he was their father. He deserves to rest in peace.

Since when is it society's responsibility to look out for people's kids? I thought that was the point of parents? So the solution is to isolate your kids from any social activities like sleepovers, school trips? You might as well build a tower and just lock the child in there, but remember to give her a haircut every now and then so she can't let down her golden hair and let a child molester into the tower.

Millions of kids go on school trips and sleepovers, very very few are molested. Isolating kids just stunts their ability to socialize with others and deal with life in general.

so was OJ the first time. i think it's possible for him to be guilty or not guilty.

i don' think he should really be mourned because if he was a pedophile i definitely don't think he should get that much sympathy. if he wasn't a pedophile then it's sort of a disgrace to show him this much love now instead of when he was alive and needed it. his death is a good thing because he longer has to suffer ridicule.

I think the real tradedgy is people won't really know whether he was a pedophile or not. there probably won't be any closure for that. it might forever be in myth and speculation; much like the JFK assassination.
