Hello...Welcome to my personal rant on unfair racial racial
expectations. This weekend, I got invited to play golf, something I've never played before. it was six of us and it was decided that we get split up into two teams, and the picking of teams began. One of the guys started selecting and I was the first person picked, and the other guy picking got pissed because apparently he wanted to pick me as well, which is weird since I had never played before. Well, needless to say, I sucked gawd awfully. The guy that picked me asked me what happened, why was I so bad. I told him it was my first time and asked what the hell he expected to happen, right? And he said, and with a straight face, mind you... "Well, Tiger Woods is black and he can play golf...I thought since you were mixed, you might be able to, too!" WTF??? Because I'm part black, I have to be able to play like the other mixed guy? Jeez, its bad enough that I'm expected to be better at basketball, baseball and football because I'm part black, but now golf's added to the list as well? And what happens if a black hockey player makes it big, huh? Am I expected to learn how to skate then as well? Ugh... BTW...I just heard earlier today that NASCAR just recently had its first sponsered black driver in the ranks. Guess I have to learn how to drive really fast in circles for hours on end now...DOH! -=x |

That is totally weird. No first timer is good at golf. I only went out once and that was once to many for me. I will play pool on a table from now on(golf is outdoor pool, LOL). I never want to go to a country club again as it is full of uptight city folks trying to hit this little ball into a small hole 300 yards away. There is nothing country about the country club. |

so then honeyrobber, would you consider golf along the same lines as a
long distance relationship? lol |

"don't forget tennis, hockey and i hope you like watermelon and
chicken." HA! Oh yeah, thank you Venus and Sereena...And Authur Ashe, as well! And I never cared for chicken, I'm a steak man...lol! And what happens when a black jockey wins the Kentucy Derby? I am NOT getting on a horse, damnit! I live in the city to get away from things like that...-=x |

I heard that golf can be similar to a Navy Pilot trying to land on a
Carrier. So I geuss you can generalize about a navy pilot being good at golf no matter what level their at. |

i wouldnt sweat it!!

lol i don't know how a 6'8" jockey would do in horse racing. most of
them tend to be smaller |

Hey Metal, I know that this is the first time that I have replied to one
of your comments, and I wonder if anybody other than I have noticed... how some people, while saying so little, can show so much ignorance? Anyway, I have played golf only once like you have, and I intend to try it again, but I am doing it for my self relaxation and not to win money. I think you should do the same and not worry about what others think... keep on swinging and have fun. |

Hey Metal, I know that this is the first time that I have replied to one of your comments, and I wonder if anybody other than I have noticed... how some people, while saying so little, can show so much ignorance?" Was that directed at me? If so, its a first...Usually I get I talk too much and I'm too smart for my own good. And if it was towards me, might I suggest you take an obviously satirical view of an event at face value, relax and poke fun at it like everyone else? Just a thought...-=x |
