Do you need a passport for a cruise? How about shots? What kind of all around cost would we be looking at?

I have always planned a cruise in my future once my kids were grown, they are grown now. So it could be a possibility but I would need to know much more.

Hi Dragoness, yes, you need a passport ($85), no shots, as for total cost, it really just depends. We've put up several polls here:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/minglecruise2010/

I created this site to help organize everything and to make communication easier. We're right now in the planning stages, just trying to get opinions on what everyone wants, etc. Depending on the length of cruise and when we go, it could cost anywhere from $300-$1000/person. I myself cannot afford the upper end. For a week-long cruise, I would think it would be somewhere between $500 and $600, less for shorter cruises. But that really depends on time of year.

But sign up above and we'll keep you updated with all information and you can decide when all the details are put in place.

Make sure you sign up at the yahoo group site so you can keep updated. It's too big for me and Pam to be able to keep everyone informed individually on the details.

its pretty standard to have a passport now. To go anywhere. Get your shots if you havent had them since high school...its safer but doesnt mean you wont get sick.

Cost will depend on how much the airfare is to that port.......will cost me more I suspect.

Once a date has been set then the airfare can be book early and you will save lots of money booking several months in advance
