Topic: Are we Arrogant? | |

15 of the 19 "suspected" hijackers were Saudi citizens. My President bowed to their King! That's a message that should go a long way to support Al Queda enlistment! Have you ever bothered to follow up on these "suspected" hijackers? You may be amazed at what you might learn - perhaps there were no Saudi hijackers at all??? Yet you feel you have justified your postion. While I say you have reacted to a feeling without knowing why! Find prove of Al Queda and names of those involved - real proof not alleged. Who are they, what have they done and where are they now? Think critically about the information you find and the source from which it comes. |

Just an update here. Obama bowing to the Saudi leader in their culture is actually an insult to him. I looked it up. So he actually insulted the Saudi leader and the Saudi forgave him obviously for the faux pas. Why is it an insult? lol |

Why is it an insult? lol Bowing to other human beings is frowned upon in Muslim cultures as all human beings are considered equal and bowing is only supposed to be done to God in Islam. Similarly, in Judaism the second of the Ten Commandments is generally interpreted to forbid bowing before anyone but God. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bowing_(social) |

Wow the Asians must have a hard time not bowing as it is second nature to them.
I can see it now. The Asian leader bows accidently to the Saudi leader and says," Oh sorry! I didn't mean that." I meant to shake your hand or how about two kisses. Oh hell! Just give me a hug! And the Saudi leader turns red for he heard "hell" |
