Topic: First Emails | |

I don't really understand why sending first emails is so difficult for some people. I often get emails that say "hi" and that's it. I wonder why some people think that's going to get a good response.
I just got an email like that, so I responded with hi. Then the person asked how the weather was. I just don't get how that is supposed to be interesting conversation. |

well, a simple hi maybe spark a good conversation or not. If someone cannot put a little effort into an email, I will most likely respond with "hi" as well. It isn't very difficult to find SOMETHING more to say in an email. It just takes more effort than saying hi. |

Your lucky I get the ones that go on and on like a novel Asking advice Tellng me personal things what's up? I get other stuff, too. However, "hi" seems to be the most popular. |

you gotta love the ... your hot why u b single I think the "why are you single?" question must be on the list of typical first questions to ask, as it seems to be a question most guys ask right up front. |

If you really think about what...most people have a hard time talking to people they don't know. I think people find someone they think are attractive and then they try to make a way to get their attention.
I think its great when they use their sense of humor...I got a great email yesterday. He was polite and funny, how does that happen?? |

Well. isn't that better than "no mail"?

If you're too shy to say much in an email, how are you going to do in person with someone? |

I like it when I take the time to write out a really long detailed profile, and the best they can say to it is, ""

playing devil's advocate here lol....maybe they are shy and they don't know what to say. I know some think it's easier behind a computer...but if they aren't good at starting a conversation in real life, then they don't have experience to use online....just a thought?
