I know 2 hetero couple that have been together for years and are not married. It's called common law marriage. That should be good enough for anybody as signing that piece of paper causes problems. |

happy people should be allowed to marry.
So it seems ever state is jumping on the bang wagon... should gays have the right to be married? why or why not? |

well according to the Bible it is a union between one man and one woman...so I think no... but the religion issue is not to make law in the united states no law establishing a religion, nor restricting the free exercise there of to pass a law passed on what the bible says is establishing the religion of the bible |

And, there are many people who don't believe in God or who aren't Christian. One religious doctrine shouldn't be allowed to force its views on everyone. Though I do agree that individual churches/religions should be able to decide whether or not they will allow religious ceremonies of gay marriage within their churches. But civilly, it shouldn't be based on religion. And if you take religion out of the equation, then there's no reason why it shouldn't be legal, IMO. |
